Our first Hot Dog Theatre show Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
was sold out for all performances… it seems everyone had a wonderful time. So… we
decided a fun Christmas show with the same participation format was in order.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a wonderful story.
It is great fun in its original form, but Nancy Heck Director of
Hot Dog Theatre, has written a great script for theatre. In our Rudolph,
the principles of love, compassion, acceptance and understanding
teach the children about life and people.
The Clauses are getting ready
for Christmas and Trixie – the
too tall Elf – and Mrs. Claus remember Christmases past, and
sing songs and talk about Rudolph’s first Christmas. They almost
don’t get to have Christmas again… but we won’t
give anything away. There is singing, dancing and fun for everyone.
The children become the reindeer, snowflakes, toys – they sing
and help Santa get new toys and all sorts of fun things. We will
have a toy workshop where the kids can buy souvenirs and we will
again take pictures with Papa and Mama Claus!
The
show ran Saturday, November 13 and runs for six Saturdays – November
13, 20, 27 December 4, 11, 18.
Also scheduled is a new performance
schedule. We will do Sunday thru Wednesday, December 19, 20, 21,
22 evening performances.
Doors open at 6:00 – dinner at 6:30 and the show will start
at 7:00 pm.
What a treat to bring the children
to theatre in the evening – just like the grown-ups!!
Reservations are required. Make your reservations early – like
Snow White we think this show is going to be a sellout.
