Hot Dog Theater is Looking for a Home

After a great partnership with the C.B. Pennington YMCA, Hot Dog Theater is looking for a new venue. Our partnership with the YMCA has afforded us the opportunity to perform several successful shows in a great venue. That, in turn, equated to thousands of dollars raised for the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. As the Y continues to meet the needs of the people in our community, their own schedule of programs grows and it has become increasingly difficult to schedule our productions at their facility. Hot Dog Theater is currently looking in the Baton Rouge area for a church, recreation center, or office space large enough to house our productions. HDT After School Theater Program in the Works

Did you know….That young people who participate in the arts for at least three hours on three days each week through at least one full year are:
4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement.
3 times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools.
4 times more likely to participate in a math and science fair.
3 times more likely to win an award for school attendance.
4 times more likely to win an award for writing an essay or poem.

Hot Dog Theater is currently in the planning stages of an after school program aimed at teaching kids all about theater. From acting technique to building sets, the program will be geared toward 3rd-8th graders. No prior theater experience will be necessary to participate in the program. We are looking for an elementary or middle school, after care facility, church, recreation center, or someone with available office space interested in being a part of this pilot program. Snow White is Coming Soon

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a wonderful interactive show where the kids become the trees, the wind, the birds, and all the other creatures that Snow White meets on her journey. A narrator guides the kids through the adventure. Snow White and the Wicked Queen are even on hand to help! It is loads of fun for kids of every age.
